gastro total – a strong group continues to grow together and gets new shareholders

The gastro total group has announced that the three subsidiaries Gebrüder Holzwarth GmbH, Grossküchentechnik Austria GmbH (GTA) and STAHL Großküchen Manufaktur GmbH will appear uniformly under the already established brand gastro total as of 01.10.2022. Holzwarth becomes gastro total Deutschland GmbH, Grossküchentechnik Austria becomes gastro total Austria GmbH and STAHL becomes gastro total Produktion GmbH. At the same time, the French ECF Group becomes the new majority owner of the group.

The renamings are a clear signal for all customers and suppliers in the DACH region and underlines the presence in the market as a unit. For the constantly growing customer base of regionally and supra-regional customers, even better service can be offered from a single source, according to the company management.

Furthermore, the gastro totally-own stainless steel production with its STAHL brand products ensures customer-specific and high-quality kitchen furniture, cooking blocks, buffet and counter systems.

In the top of the management, much remains the same. Thomas Förch remains Managing Director of the local company gastro total Deutschland GmbH, Velimir Sever Managing Director of gastro total Austria GmbH and Lukas Tröger Managing Director of gastro total Produktion GmbH.

In addition to Thomas Förch, who has already acted as managing director of the Obergesellschaft gastro total GmbH, Velimir Sever will contribute his industry experience as another managing director. The new and old CFO is Jan Wittenbecher, who is responsible for the entire gastro total group as CFO. The management team from Förch, Sever, Tröger and Wittenbecher will be involved in the group of companies. The management team hereby underlines the future-oriented actions of the gastro total group and their attachment to the three subsidiaries.

“The gastro total group is on a growth course. We now have 230 employees in a highly motivated team, are expected to complete in 2022 with a record turnover of 45 million and have 11 locations in Germany and Austria. This means that our ambitious goals have not yet been achieved, because together we can become stronger and stronger in planning, production and service,” explains Förch and emphasizes the role as a big player in the commercial kitchen industry.

ECF as a new and strong majority owner will continue to force the growth of gastro totally. Among other things, the already existing trading business is to be significantly expanded.

After completion of the transaction, ECF will also be a leader in Germany and Austria with over EUR 500 million in sales, in addition to France, Great Britain, Italy, the Middle East, as well as Australia and New Zealand.
